Artificial Intelligence is becoming a big part of our lives: from the phones in our hands to the cars we drive, and even the decisions made in hospitals or offices. It’s helping us do things faster, smarter, and sometimes better. But like any powerful tool, AI also has a dark side that we need to talk about.

AI is replacing human workers in many industries. Machines don’t need breaks, don’t get tired, and can do repetitive tasks more efficiently. Example: Banks now use AI chatbots instead of human agents. Factories are replacing workers with robots. Even content writing, data analysis, and driving are being automated. Language-learning platform Duolingo reduced 10% of its contract workforce, attributing the decision to the adoption of generative AI tools that automate content creation processes.

If an AI tool wrongly predicts a disease and a patient is harmed, who is to blame? The doctor? The AI company? The software? People deserve justice when AI makes harmful mistakes. But right now, it’s hard to hold anyone accountable.
